Product description
This Italian Modern adjustable table from the 1960s exemplifies the ingenuity of mid-century European design. The piece features a highly functional mechanical silhouette, allowing it to transition seamlessly between a low coffee table and a higher dining or work table configuration.
Constructed with a sturdy wooden frame, the table is distinguished by its elegant metal cross-stretcher base and a smooth top framed by a patinated brass edge. A prominent hand-crank mechanism is integrated into the side, enabling precise height adjustments to suit various spatial requirements. The rich brown tones of the wood contrast beautifully with the warm, golden hues of the metallic accents, reflecting the sophisticated material palette characteristic of 1960s Italian manufacturing.
The table remains in good vintage condition, fully functional and structurally sound. The mechanical crank operates smoothly, while the materials display a natural patina that speaks to its history. The brass edge exhibits authentic character, preserving the original finish and charm of the era without compromising the structural integrity of the piece.
Elegant table has a top glass inlay produced. The height can be adjusted with the mechanism by turning the handle on the side.
