Decorative Italian glass demijohn made of mouth-blown green glass with an original wicker basket. These large glass demijohns were traditionally used for storing and transporting wine, olive oil, or water and are now sought-after decorative objects with a Mediterranean-rustic character. This particular piece is especially beautiful due to the combination of the shimmering green glass, the hand-woven basket, and the original manufacturer's label, Oleificio Valentino Tomatis from Cortemilia, Italy. The robust wickerwork, with side handles and a solid wooden base, gives the object a sculptural quality, making it attractive both as a standalone piece and as a decorative floor object. Thanks to the warm, natural materials and authentic patina, this demijohn is perfectly suited to Mediterranean, rustic, or mid-century-inspired interiors.
