Italian Cesca B32-style cantilever chair dating from the 1970s, featuring the celebrated combination of woven cane, shaped beech wood and tubular chrome-plated metal. The chair follows the iconic modernist cantilever construction associated with Bauhaus furniture design. A continuous tubular metal frame creates the distinctive floating seat profile, while the naturally finished beech frames and finely woven cane seat and backrest provide warmth and visual lightness. The juxtaposition of traditional cane craftsmanship with polished tubular metal makes this design an enduring example of 20th-century modernist aesthetics. Its clean proportions allow it to work equally well as a dining chair, desk chair or occasional accent chair. Made in Italy during the 1970s. Presented in good original vintage condition with minor signs of use and age consistent with its history and visible in the photographs.
