Product description
Matteo Limongelli created this Italian ceramic wall piece in the mid-20th century. It shows a masked figure in costume playing a blue lute, with an owl resting on the shoulder. The glaze in green, blue, red, and brown adds vivid texture and depth.
The work consists of ceramic tiles mounted on a wooden backboard. Its irregular edges emphasize the handmade character and make the piece unique.
Limongelli (1921–2012) gained recognition in Italy as a sculptor and ceramist. He often drew inspiration from theatre and folklore, bringing playful yet refined details into his art.
