Some objects seem to have transcended centuries. With its slender silhouette, its two geometric diamond-shaped handles, and its sculpted decoration across its entire height, this vase evokes the great Mediterranean civilizations, where temples, riders, and scenes of ancient life were engraved in stone to recount the exploits of men. Made in Italy in the 1960s-1970s, it is part of a decorative tradition that reinterprets the heritage of ancient Greece and Rome. Each horizontal register unveils a new scene, inviting the eye to travel across the object like a historical frieze. Its warm patina, blending hues of terracotta, bronze, and ochre, further reinforces its timeless character. The constricted neck is topped with a circular cup that can hold a candle. Height approximately 25 cm. On its own, it catches the eye and brings a true presence to a bookshelf, a console table, or a collection of art ceramics. It can hold a few dried branches or simply be displayed as a sculpture, as the richness of its decor is enough to enhance it. The underside bears a signature accompanied by a small clover, testament to its manufacturing workshop. The state of preservation is very satisfactory, with natural wear on the upper cup.
