IRIS Romania – Characterful Vintage Dog Sculpture
An exceptionally expressive porcelain sculpture from the Romanian manufacturer IRIS from Cluj-Napoca, presumably from the second half of the 20th century.
The charming dog figure impresses with oversized ears, large dark eyes, and an almost human, curious facial expression.
However, its special quality lies not only in the face but in the entire sculptural design.
The slightly twisted body, the curved lines of the back, and the carefully modeled fur folds on the neck and shoulders create a lively, almost moving silhouette.
The glossy cream-white glaze is complemented by honey-brown and turquoise-green color accents.
The figure combines humor, expressiveness, and sculptural elegance and is wonderfully suitable as an independent Decorative Objects.
