Iris Hartman (1958) It always starts with an image that begins to form after I have read or seen something and which then gradually begins to translate into shape and color. My work can be called landscape abstract and it often consists of combinations of clean lines/objects in an alienating landscape. The linear forms in combination with colors and the layering of the paint in a painting are combinations that always manage to fascinate me.
