Designer Wim Rietveld (1924-1985), son of Gerrit Rietveld, was born in Utrecht, attended vocational school and got a job at Servo Balans where he rose from apprentice constructor to head of the drawing office. He assisted his father and attended the first weekend course in industrial design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. From 1953 to 1956 he worked as a designer at the Gispen company where he expanded the office furniture program with living room furniture and lamps. He then joined De Cirkel where he collaborated with Friso Kramer.
Here is a beautifully designed vintage heater, designed by Wim Rietveld in 1966.
It is an electric heater from the well-known brand Inventum from Bilthoven, type KG76 with a power of no less than 2000 Watts.
It has 3 settings and can provide a considerable amount of heat. Due to its beautiful design, it is also compact and easy to move.
