Exotic Chinese jar made of high-fired stoneware. It features a robust body and traditional shape: a bulging belly on a narrow base, a short neck, and a fitted lid with an acorn knob on a hemispherical base. The piece is completely glazed in dark brown and beige, with a glossy finish that reveals subtle chromatic variations resulting from firing.
The front surface of the jar features a calligraphic inscription in Chinese, made in negative relief directly on the clay in a golden tone. Although the inscription has not yet been translated, it could be a workshop signature, a verse, or a good luck phrase, as is common in Chinese ceramic tradition.
Despite its sobriety, this piece stands out for its aesthetic strength: the contrast between the contained form, the lustrous finish, and the golden inscription creates a very elegant compositional balance.
Product shipping will be paid by the buyer according to dimensions, weight, and destination. We will contact you to manage it and agree on the budget. Shipping costs include professional custom packaging; and personalized shipping, with tracking number and guarantee. The buyer will be responsible for paying import duties and associated taxes in the destination country, if any. Please note the seller's disclaimer regarding possible customs charges, as these are collected in the destination country and the amount payable is determined by that country's customs. If an export permit is required, the costs are borne by the buyer. The cost progressively depends on the value of the work to be exported.
