Chantalle Smeets, after 4 years of WIK (wet inkomensuitkering kunstenaar) in Maastricht Netherlands, has been active as a professional artist for 20 years. Together with Martiene Stevens (her partner and also artist), they manage Kunsthuis Trobar Riemst (B). Chantalle Smeets has developed a style all her own, Which is visible in her sculptures of bronze, stone, ceramics and wood. Her source of inspiration is nature. She also paints mostly in mixed media on canvas and panel. She has exhibited at various galleries and castles (also sculpture gardens) in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain and her sculptures travel throughout Europe, America and the Canary Islands.
