Product description
A characterful industrial chest of drawers made of lacquered sheet steel by the French manufacturer R. Daurat from the 1950s. The compact design combines functional robustness with the clean lines of the early post-war period and impresses with its authentic patina and striking, geometrically shaped metal handles. The combination of the cream-colored lacquered body and the white top with rounded edges is particularly appealing, giving the chest an elegant and almost graphic appearance despite its industrial construction. The chest features one drawer and storage compartments with shelves, offering versatile uses – whether as a bedside table, a small workshop chest, or a distinctive storage piece in the living area. The visible signs of wear, rust spots, and aging emphasize the authentic industrial character and lend the piece a special charm.
Condition: Clear signs of age-related wear with patina, paint chips, rust spots, scratches, and discoloration on the sheet steel. Overall, stable and authentic original condition.
