About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This metal bar cart was designed in 1988 by Danish designer Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA. The piece is a characteristic example of late 1980s postmodern design, combining functionality with a minimalist, industrial aesthetic. The cart is made entirely of black lacquered tubular steel and perforated metal, giving it a light yet robust structure. It features three tiers, with the middle tier designed as a removable tray, increasing its versatility. Thanks to its four castors, the cart is mobile and flexible to use. The overall condition is good, commensurate with its age and use. The black lacquer finish is original and shows a characteristic patina that reflects the object's history. The structure is stable, and all parts, including the castors and the removable tray, are present and functional. With its timeless and understated design, this bar cart is ideal as a bar cart in the living room, as mobile storage in the kitchen or office, or as a side table next to a sofa. It seamlessly integrates into modern, industrial, or eclectic interior styles.
