This chair is called Serri and is the successor to the Krumelur chair. The Serri chair was first mentioned in the 1986 catalog. The chair is in good condition with minimal signs of age and wear.
The Krumelur chair was designed in 1972 by Karin Mobring, IKEA's first female home designer. It reflects the playful, postmodern spirit of the 1970s with its tubular steel frame, bold silhouette and casual canvas seat with soft cushions. Originally featured on the cover of IKEA's 1972 catalog, the chair was affordable, modern and aimed at a young, style-conscious audience. Today, the Krumelur is a rare and collectible piece of Scandinavian designer heritage.
