A vintage Prolog table lamp, designed by Tord Björklund for Ikea in the nineties. This piece is an excellent example of postmodern design from that period, characterized by a playful combination of materials and shapes. The design, model A9405, is known for its distinctive curved arm and functional aesthetic.The lamp's construction consists of a mix of materials typical of the design. The stable, round base and the adjustable conical shade are made of metal with a grey and silver-colored finish. The elegant, curved arm is made of light-colored, laminated wood, offering a warm and organic contrast to the industrial metal parts. The lamp operates on 12V and comes with the original external transformer.
This table lamp is in fairly good vintage condition, with a character consistent with its age. The original finishes have been preserved, and the structural integrity is intact.
The lamp is fully functional and retains the authentic look of a 90s design classic.
However, the frosted glass disc, the diffuser, is missing but is also relatively easy to replace.
With its focused and adjustable light, the Prolog lamp is ideal for use on a desk, in a reading nook, or as ambient lighting on a sideboard. The design seamlessly fits into various interior styles, from Scandinavian and minimalist to eclectic and retro.
