Product description
A metal Clock from Ikea, designed for the iconic PS collection from 1995. This piece, designed by Thomas Eriksson, is a characteristic example of postmodern design from the nineties, known for its playful and functional aesthetic.
The Clock is made of powder-coated steel in a soft yellow color, which gives a cheerful yet subtle accent. The design is inspired by the shape of a keyhole and offers more than just time display; behind the dial are two small storage compartments. The dial itself is minimalist white with clear black hands and a red second hand. This model can be used freestanding or mounted on the wall.
The overall condition of the Clock is very good, retaining its original color and finish. The quartz movement is functional. This object has become a collector's item and represents an important moment in Ikea's design history, where young designers were given the freedom to experiment.
This Clock fits perfectly into an interior with Scandinavian, retro, or eclectic influences. It can serve as a functional art object on a dresser, in a bookshelf, or as a unique wall element in a hallway or office.
