This is an Ikea Grimsö table lamp, a striking design from the early 2000s. The piece is characterized by its functional aesthetic and the combination of materials, making it a sought-after item from the brand's design history.
The lamp is made with a brushed metal shade and base, providing a modern, silver-colored look. The central stem is covered with black leather, which contrasts with the smooth metal. The inside of the shade is painted white to ensure bright, diffuse light distribution, suitable for two lamps of maximum 40W. This model, TYP B0331, was produced in China.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, retaining its original finish and structure. The materials show a character consistent with careful use over the years, and the lamp is fully functional. The original wiring with switch is intact and in good working order.
Unfortunately, the shade has 1 small dent, the lamp has some light scratches, and there is a little rust under the shade. The latter is not visible when it is in your room. Over time, the mechanism has sagged slightly, but this is also not very noticeable.
With its timeless and minimalist design, this table lamp fits perfectly into a Scandinavian or mid-century modern interior. It functions excellently as a desk lamp in a home office or as atmospheric lighting on a dresser or side table.
