About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Offered is a pair of "Fackla" wall lights, designed in the 1990s by Carl Öjerstam for Ikea. These lights are a remarkable example of the postmodern design of that era, characterized by their distinctive, torch-like silhouette. Each light consists of a conically shaped body made of white plastic, accented at the opening by a gold-colored ring. This combination of materials and colors gives the lights a sculptural quality. When switched on, they produce a warm, atmospheric light that is diffused through a grid, creating an inviting ambiance. This set is in very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The surfaces are well preserved and show their original luster, which emphasizes the authentic character of these vintage pieces. As a pair, these wall lights are excellent for symmetrically flanking a hallway, living room, or bedroom. They seamlessly integrate into interiors inspired by Space Age or postmodern style, adding a deliberate design accent.
