Vintage red IKEA model 1063 clamp lamp, designed in the 80s. This minimalist, post-modern architect's or desk lamp is made of metal and plastic. Thanks to the adjustable arm and the practical table clamp, the lamp can be easily attached to the edge of a desk or shelf.
This is an adjustable clamp lamp, model 0163, produced by Ikea in the 80s. The design is a characteristic example of the functional and accessible design for which the Swedish brand was known during that period.
The construction consists of a metal fixture with a red, conical shade and a contrasting white interior for optimal light distribution. The arm is adjustable via hinge points and can be securely attached to a desk, shelf, or bed frame with a clamp. The combination of red lacquered metal, chrome-plated rods, and black plastic details is typical of the aesthetics of the eighties.
The lamp is in good vintage condition and is fully functional. The object has a character consistent with its age and use, and retains its original parts, including the switch and wiring. The overall construction is solid and the adjustment mechanisms work properly.
Thanks to its flexible and compact design, this clamp lamp is a practical lighting solution for a workspace, reading nook, or bedroom. It fits well within a retro, Scandinavian, or industrial interior.
When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage.
