Iconic Pop Art Diptych: Jordi Prat Pons – "J.B." & "Absolut Vodka" (2011)
For Sale: A beautiful and monumental diptych by the renowned Spanish pop art artist Jordi Prat Pons (Mataró, 1965). These are two original mixed-media artworks from his most sought-after and iconic 'bottle portraits' series, created around 2011. An absolute design eye-catcher for a modern or industrial interior, which looks fantastic above or next to a piano, sideboard, or sleek wall.
The set consists of:
1. "J.B." (J&B Rare Scotch Whisky) – Size: 40 x 120 cm
2. "Absolut Vodka" – Size: 50 x 120 cm (Equipped with official registration number 1611)
Unique Technique & Structure:
The works are masterfully constructed with a highly layered mixed technique (oil paint and collage) on high-quality linen canvas. The canvases are professionally stretched on the original wooden stretchers from the renowned historical art dealer Vicenç Piera from Barcelona (original stamps present on the back).
The texture is spectacularly three-dimensional: The artist deliberately worked with thick layers of paint (impasto), wrinkles, vintage paper elements, and typography to create a raw, lived-in 'street art' look. Both works are personally hand-signed by the artist on the front (top right) and are in excellent, original condition.
Sales Details:
• The asking price is for the complete set of two paintings.
• Although preference is given to selling as a set, individual sale is negotiable with a good offer.
• Dimensions: Height is exactly 120 cm for both canvases. The widths are 40 cm and 50 cm respectively.
• Delivery: Pick-up is preferred given the fragile 3D structure of the paper. Shipping via the professional Whoppah Courier Service is of course also possible and highly recommended for safe transport.
