About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Up for sale is a rare, pristine masterpiece of Belgian Post-Modern design: the 'Fold & Profile' Dining Table, created in 1996 by the highly celebrated designer Fabiaan Van Severen.
Crafted in his own Belgian atelier, this table is a masterclass in architectural minimalism. Its signature aesthetic lies in its incredibly sleek, inwardly folded corners and elegantly tapered metal legs. Depending on the viewing angle, the legs appear dramatically flat, creating an illusion of weightlessness while maintaining absolute, uncompromising industrial stability.
This particular piece holds an elite status for collectors. Upon its initial shipment to London in 1996, the table was personally signed and inscribed by Fabiaan Van Severen himself with the mark "FVS P2". This explicit, rare signature guarantees its direct provenance and elevates it from a standard production piece into a highly valuable, verified investment asset for any high-end design collection.
Condition is very good with no oxydation marks due to careful cleaning habits. Beautifully and meticulously preserved. The metal body, top, and folded joints exhibit no structural warping, deep scratches, or dents. It retains its pristine, smooth structural integrity just as it did when it left the designer's workshop.
Shipping directly from a professional, dry storage unit located at a Belgian coast town.
International Delivery: Highly accessible for specialized art and furniture couriers. Because of its location near the Belgian coast ports and major transit routes, coordinating direct, insured van transport straight to London, the UK, or across mainland Europe is exceptionally straightforward
Bought in 1996 at the design furniture shop Domus+ in Roeselare when moving from Brussels to London for work, it was delivered by Fabiaan himself in Brussels who signed the table by scratching his initiales and P2 meaning it was only his second production of the largest size « Fold and Profile »
