Product description
A rare find, “Cabras” Harvey Guzzini Pendant light, in very good condition, with original etiquette. Italian space age design, 1970s. Made in Italy — not Meblo. Designed by Luigi Massoni for Harvey Guzzini. The lamp features glossy orange methacrylate (acrylic) dome shade. Its dual-layer design is solid white on the interior, creating a spectacular visual effect, when lit, the outer orange shell emits a warm, atmospheric glow, while the white interior reflects a clean, functional downward light. Its original, distinctive black coiled “rise-and-fall” (pulldown) mechanism is complemented by a chrome ceiling canopy and a central chrome pull rod at the bottom, allowing for easy height adjustment. It is in working condition and ideal for use above a dining table, kitchen island, or in a living space. Excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. The acrylic shade has no cracks or major scratches and retains a beautiful high gloss. The chrome components show bright luster with minimal pitting. The pull-down mechanism has been tested and retracts smoothly. Original wiring is intact and functional, but as with all vintage electronics, professional inspection prior to installation is recommended. • Shade Diameter: 45 cm (17.72 inches) • Shade Height: 25 cm to 34 cm (9.84 to 13.39 inches), the dome alone to the integrated vertical chrome stem and lower pull rod. • Adjustable Suspension Height: The spring-loaded cable mechanism allows a drop length range usually between 55 cm and 140 cm (approx. 21 to 55 inches) from the ceiling. Materials: Round orange acrylic mushroom shade with a white inner layer. Chrome-plated stem, pull handle, fittings and canopy. Three Bakelite E14 sockets and a rise-and-fall mechanism.
