Product description
This set of four pendant lights exemplifies the refined material palette and restrained elegance associated with Scandinavian lighting design of the 1960s. Although the designer and manufacturer remain unidentified, the combination of sculptural textured glass and minimalist black lacquered metal reflects the aesthetics of mid-century modern lighting produced in Scandinavia during the period. Each pendant features a cylindrical metal housing fitted with a distinctive shade composed of two opposing cast glass elements. The heavily textured clear glass creates an attractive crystalline or “Ice” effect, diffusing the light while maintaining transparency. The irregular surface catches and refracts the light beautifully, producing a warm, atmospheric glow and emphasizing the depth and character of the glass. The shades are secured with polished metal rods, adding a subtle technical detail that complements the otherwise understated design. The compact proportions make these pendants highly versatile. They can be installed individually above bedside tables or grouped in a linear arrangement above a kitchen island, dining table or bar. As a complete set of four, they offer considerable flexibility for both residential and commercial interiors, where their sculptural appearance creates visual rhythm without overwhelming the surrounding space. With their balanced combination of textured glass, black lacquered metal and clean architectural lines, these pendants represent the timeless qualities that define Scandinavian modern lighting. Their understated form allows the exceptional glass to take centre stage, making the fixtures equally striking whether illuminated or unlit.
