Product description
This is a characteristic vintage ceiling light from the seventies, made of heavy, textured ice glass. The design is a striking example of the brutalist aesthetic popular during that period, characterized by rough textures and a sculptural form.
Lamp holder has been resprayed silver.
The square lampshade is made of thick, cast glass with an organic, pebble-like pattern on the top and a ribbed texture on the sides. This structure creates a beautifully diffused and atmospheric light effect when the lamp is on. The fixture is mounted on a metal base and features two light points, ensuring good light distribution. The lamp is a product of the Space Age and Mid-Century Modern era, in which new forms and materials were experimented with.
The overall condition of the lamp is very good, retaining the original structure and clarity of the glass. The glass is completely intact and the texture creates a dynamic play of light and shadow, both when switched on and off. The item shows minimal signs of wear consistent with its age and careful use over the years.
This ceiling light is a striking object that fits perfectly in a hallway, living room or bedroom. It is an ideal choice for interiors with a vintage, eclectic or brutalist decor, where it can serve as both a functional light source and a decorative work of art.
