Product description
This distinctive side table was designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for the Swedish manufacturer AB Saffle Möbelfabrik during the 1960s. The piece is defined by its striking top, which features natural river stones embedded within a clear resin, creating a captivating organic focal point.
Constructed with a solid wood frame in a rich brown tone, the table exhibits the clean, architectural lines characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. The multi-colored pebble top introduces a tactile, earthy element that contrasts elegantly with the precise geometry of the wooden base. Produced in Sweden, this design reflects the era's fascination with integrating natural materials into functional domestic objects.
The table remains in great vintage condition, preserving its structural integrity and original character. The wooden frame displays a warm, authentic patina consistent with careful historical use, while the stone-inlaid top retains its visual depth and clarity.
This piece serves as an exceptional accent in both modernist and contemporary interiors. It pairs beautifully with low-profile lounge seating, bringing a touch of organic texture and historical provenance to a refined living space.
