The Passage is one of the first photos I took for my new and second iPhone only book, Het is stil in Amsterdam. The book will appear in November. The work was sold in one week. And a few times after.
Annet de Graaf (iAnnet) is one of the better known iPhone photographers in the world. She has been shooting with the phone for 13 years and has never touched another camera.
“Capturing the world with my iPhone is simply magic. While observing, my trained braincase anticipates what is going to happen. The momentum. In a split second, hidden stories that want to be told will be captured. I trust that intuition. The laws of nature support the creative process of photography down to the smallest detail. And in the end, the universal values inherent in every spectator provide the applause. Gerard Reve described it in a different way, so beautifully: It has been seen, it has not gone unnoticed”
Apple CEO Tim Cook is now one of Annet's fans. She has shown the big boss around in her beloved Mokum. Annet provides training in image & branding to companies and individuals.
From day one in times of corona, Annet went out. She wandered the empty streets of Amsterdam for ten weeks. The images combined with short diary fragments form her second iPhone-only book, which was published in November last year.
