About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a significant porcelain sculpture by the German manufacturer Hutschenreuther, depicting a classical female figure with a deer. The piece is a notable example of the Art Deco period, capturing the era's blend of classicism and stylized modern forms in its elegant composition and dynamic movement.
Crafted from fine glazed porcelain, this large-scale figurine stands at an impressive 52.5 centimetres in height. The work is attributed to the celebrated designer Karl Tutter, one of Hutschenreuther's most influential artists. The colour palette is subtle and refined, featuring a primary white base with delicate accents of mint green on the drapery, cream on the flowing scarf, and soft green touches on the base, highlighting the intricate details of the modelling.
The sculpture is in good overall condition; two fingers on the right hand have been restored. Please review the photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A refined vintage German porcelain sculpture and an attractive piece for collectors of Hutschenreuther and European art porcelain.
Mark: Hutschenreuther Selb Germany Kunstabteilung.
Dimensions: 52,5 x 32 x 23 cm
As a substantial decorative work, this piece is well-suited for display on a console, sideboard, or in a vitrine. Its graceful lines and historical significance make it a compelling addition to an Art Deco, Classic, or Hollywood Regency interior, serving as a sophisticated focal point.
