This is an antique set, consisting of a top hat and its original leather hat box, manufactured by H. Schuchard's. The brand bears the title "K. U. K. Hofhutlieferanten", which indicates production before 1918 for the Austro-Hungarian court, giving the piece significant historical provenance.
The top hat is made of a black, fur-like textile and lined with a silk lining bearing the royal coat of arms and the manufacturer's name. The accompanying hat box is made of robust, cognac-brown leather and features brass fittings, including a lock and protective feet on the bottom. The set is complemented by a separate, smaller box for collars, which has a wood-patterned finish.
The overall condition of the set is good for its age and preserves its authentic vintage character. The leather hat box shows a distinct patina, testifying to its long history. The interior of the hat and the box show signs of wear consistent with their origin and age.
