This Comtoise clock is an authentic example of traditional French clockmaking. Made of solid wood, it stands out with its dial signed « Roland Denis à Lusse », indicating its origin and craftsman.
The clock case, probably oak, has a straight and elegant silhouette, topped with a carved cornice. The white enamel dial is adorned with black Roman numerals, framed by a richly decorated repoussé brass pediment depicting a scene. Inside, the mechanism is driven by a pendulum and two cast iron weights, visible through a glass lens on the main door.
The clock is in a good state of preservation, testifying to its history and age. The wood has developed a warm patina over time, which adds to its character. The mechanism and dial appear complete and well preserved.
