The Vitra Lounge Chair & Ottoman, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, is an iconic piece of furniture from the mid-century era. This specific set in the 'New Dimensions' version combines a wooden shell with dark leather upholstery for a timeless look.
The chair and footstool are crafted with a curved wood shell, finished with a warm veneer layer. The cushions are upholstered in dark brown leather, and the base consists of a polished aluminum star base. The set features the original Vitra label, confirming its authenticity.
This set was purchased approximately 10 years ago for the interior of a holiday villa in Mallorca and has been barely used. It is in excellent condition, with the leather supple and the wooden shells structurally intact. This piece of furniture fits perfectly into a modern or classic interior and makes a strong design statement in a reading nook or living room.
