The Herman Miller Eames Aluminum Group Side Chair is a well-known design by Charles and Ray Eames. This specific model is finished without armrests and features breathable black mesh upholstery. The fabric is stretched tightly between the aluminum side profiles, making the seat flexible and allowing it to comfortably spring back while seated.
The chair stands on a four-legged aluminum star base with fixed floor glides. Although this model is primarily known in Europe by the Vitra code EA105, this is an original version from the American manufacturer. The marking on the inside of the frame indicates that it is an authentic example.
