This vintage pendant lamp by Herda is a characteristic example of Dutch design from the 1970s. The fixture stands out due to the expressive 'fat lava' glazing technique, which was frequently used during this period and lends the object a distinct, sculptural character. Crafted from ceramic, the lamp displays a rich contrast between the deep brown, glossy surface and the rough, frothy white glaze accents. The round, mushroom-like shape features asymmetrical perforations that create a playful light diffusion when the lamp is switched on.
