For sale is a striking, surrealist painting by the renowned artist Hellmuth Eichner (born 1936 in Remscheid, died 2012). The work depicts a characterful figure against a dark background, leaning on a pedestal inscribed with "Prof. Geyste." The front is marked "Ego-Tünnes?" 4.10.68 in the upper left corner and signed "Der Eichner 1968" in the lower left corner. On the reverse of the canvas are handwritten notes ("...vult decipi!" / "D.
