Product description
Small ceiling lamp (or wall lamp) 'Bubbles' by Helena Tynell (born Turpeinen in Finland) for Glashütte Limburg (Germany). 1960s/70s (mid-century).
Iridescent glass with gradated amber-orange hues. The copper base.
Bubbles lamps evoke soap bubbles and provide a very pleasant light. They made Helena Tynell famous, making her one of the most influential Scandinavian glass designers, like Tapio Wirkkala.
Dimensions (width * depth * height): 20 x 20 x 18 cm.
In excellent condition (no defects in the glass or brass).
For a bulb with an E27 socket.
