Product description
This is a ceiling light designed by the Finnish designer Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Glashütte Limburg. The piece is a characteristic example of lighting design from the 1960s and 70s, known for its organic shapes and texture. The lampshade is made of clear, thick-walled 'bubble glass', a technique that diffuses light in an atmospheric way. The shade is mounted on a white, round base. This design, produced in Germany, is representative of Glashütte Limburg's high-quality glass production during the Mid-Century period. The item is in very good vintage condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The glass is completely intact and the structure is solid. The lamp retains its original character and appearance. This ceiling light is a subtle yet distinctive addition to various interiors. The fixture fits well in a hallway, bedroom, or living room and complements styles ranging from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary design.
