This is a ceiling light designed by the Finnish designer Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Glashütte Limburg. The piece is a characteristic example of lighting design from the 1960s and 70s, known for its organic shapes and texture. The lampshade is made of clear, thick-walled 'bubble glass', a technique that diffuses light in an atmospheric way. The shade is mounted on a white, round base. This design, produced in Germany, is representative of Glashütte Limburg's high-quality glass production during the Mid-Century period.
