This painting depicts the inner courtyard of the historic square farm and coaching inn "Heideken" (known in French-speaking archives as 'Café du Heideken' or 'Ferme Ey Hof').
* Location: The farm was situated in the territory of Ganshoren (Brussels), near the current Eeuwfeestsquare on Jetselaan. The surrounding neighborhood and the current Heidekenstraat (Rue Heideken) are named after it.
* History & Demolition: The location has a history dating back to the 13th century and served for centuries as a resting place for travelers and Brussels walkers. In 1952, the farm was completely demolished for the widening of Jetselaan and the construction of tram line 13. Only the small Baroque entrance gate was preserved at the time and rebuilt as a monument. ## Valuation
