Elst Gld, NetherlandsView all items from this sellerSpacious 2.5-person sofa from the Dutch brand Harvink, purchased in 1995, with the metal frame on the outside that is characteristic of Harvink . The back of the sofa is also worth a look, making the sofa very suitable to stand freely in the room.
Indestructible base: metal frame and a sturdy bottom plate. Six loose cushions. The back cushions are removable. The two seat cushions are attached to the bottom plate with a zipper to prevent them from shifting and can be folded up. The side cushions (armrests) are fixed to the bottom plate.
The cushions were reupholstered in 2011 with semi-aniline leather in the original terracotta color (dark orange / cognac). A fresh yet warm color. Semi-aniline leather has a thin coating so that the original skin can still be seen and is grease, moisture and dirt repellent. The cushions therefore have hardly any or no signs of wear. On the side of one of the seat cushions, the seam at the transition from leather to fabric has come loose. The metal frame is painted in matt gray.
The seat height is 42 cm. The seat is slightly lower at the back than at the front. In combination with the slightly sloping back, this ensures a comfortable and relaxed sitting position.
We have two of these benches. They are still excellent, but we are getting rid of one because, now that we are getting older, we also want two armchairs with a somewhat higher and more active sitting position.On the side of one of the seat cushions, the seam where the leather turns into fabric has come loose.
