Private sellerProduct description
This beautiful Floor lights by Harvey Guzzini -Studio 6G- is an iconic piece from the Space Age era. It is the 'Grand Bud' model 4508, a design immediately recognizable by its large, spherical shade and futuristic appearance.
The lamp is made with a perspex shade, which transitions from a vibrant orange hue to translucent white, creating a warm and diffused light effect. The shade rests on a slender, tulip-shaped base and a stem of chromed metal, characteristic of Italian design from the late 60s and early 70s. The combination of glossy chrome and colored perspex is a prime example of the materials and forms that defined the Space Age aesthetic.
This lamp is in very good vintage condition, with a character consistent with its age and use. It has very light chrome spots on the stem and on the tulip under the shade, which enhance rather than detract from its vintage feel. There are a few scratches and some deeper chrome spots on the base. Original structure and finish have been preserved, and the lamp is fully functional. The accompanying vintage foot switch is from the same design house and period. The cord section after the foot switch up to the plug is new.
As a striking design object, this 'Grand Bud' Floor lights adds an authentic retro element to your interior. It functions both as ambient lighting and as a sculptural statement piece.
