About Happylight
Happylight was founded in 1980 by Peter van Es in Gemert (North Brabant). A collector of elephant objects and figurines, he chose an elephant for his logo. In the early years, the company sold and manufactured lamps for lighting stores, furniture stores, and the lighting departments of Dutch warehouses such as De Bijenkorf and Vroom & Dreesmann. The wall lamp offered here dates from this early period. It is one of the few Happylight lamps we've seen with this marking in the Netherlands. We assume that Happylight had its own (limited) production facilities in the early days. Happylight eventually closed its doors in 2000.
