Brown vase with slightly tilted neck, by ceramist Hans van Riessen (1946-2018). The vase has a metallic glossy glaze.
Van Riessen had his own style. This one is inspired by 2000 years of Asian pottery and porcelain. The result is a timeless design combined with a harmonious color scheme and each work of art is unique, one-off and made by hand. The ceramist was the last in the Netherlands who still worked with a wood and peat fired over.
