For sale is a completely restored Hans J. Wegner Mod. 318 table in excellent, almost new condition. OBJECT: Dining table (4-6 people) / conference table / desk, removable Version: 318 teak STYLE: Mid-Century, Danish DESCRIPTION: Solid wood table top veneered with teak, solid edge banding also veneered with teak, table legs screwed to the underside of the table top and additionally fixed to the circumference by screws using a curved, horizontal strut as a design element. MANUFACTURER: not known The table comes from an architect's house from 1961, which was full of design classics and high-quality Mid-Century furniture. Unfortunately we couldn't get any more detailed information about the table because it is an estate. We cannot say with certainty whether it is an early draft or a prototype from Andreas Tuck. What we can guarantee is that the table is at least 50 years old. So we don't assume it was plagiarism, because as is well known, this did not yet exist with regard to Danish Furniture at that time, in contrast to today. DESIGNER: Hans J. Wegner, Denmark MATERIAL: Teak veneered, oiled; Solid blockboard, ground and polished Aluminium HUE: teak (dark brown with a beautiful reddish tint and natural color nuances) Info: The photos are highly exposed so that the 1a condition can be seen in detail! Reddish tones become redder and colors generally become brighter. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reproduce the colors in nature. Shininess in the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to the exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are semi-matt to semi-glossy. DIMENSIONS: approx. width: 160cm; Depth: 95cm; Height: 75cm; Table top thickness: 4cm CONDITION: Just great! The table was lovingly restored by the restorer using traditional and natural materials. After dismantling all the individual parts, the teak was subjected to a complex surface treatment. Through a multi-stage core cleaning and subsequent careful sanding treatment, the old oil layer was removed, damaged areas were repaired and the original teak base was restored. The subsequent multi-layered oil structure, in which different oils developed and coordinated by us were used, creates not only increased durability, but also a harmonious color appearance and a very pleasant, warm feel. We removed scratches and blemishes from the metal parts, then finely sanded them and finally polished them to a shine and added new screws. Result: when you stand in front of it, you think it's new! ________________________________________ FORMER NEW PRICE / LIST PRICE: unfortunately is not known.
