For sale is a completely restored Hans J. Wegner Mod. 318 table in excellent, almost new condition.
OBJECT:

DESCRIPTION:
Solid wood table top veneered with teak, solid edge banding also veneered with teak, table legs screwed to the underside of the table top and additionally fixed around the perimeter with screws using a curved, horizontal brace as a design element.

The table comes from an architect's house from 1961, which was full of design classics and high-quality Mid - Century furniture. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain any more detailed information about the table as it is part of an estate. We cannot say for sure whether it is an early design or a prototype from Andreas Tuck. What we can guarantee, however, is that the table is at least 50 years old. This means that we cannot assume that it is a plagiarism, as it is well known that this type of Danish furniture did not exist at that time, unlike today.

The photos are high exposed, so that the 1a condition is also visible in detail! Reddish tones become redder and colors become generally brighter. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reflect the natural color tones. Gloss on the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are silk matt to silk gloss.

CONDITION:
Simply superb! The table has been lovingly restored by a restorer using traditional and natural materials. After disassembly into all its individual parts, the teak was subjected to an elaborate surface treatment. The old oil layer was removed, damaged areas repaired and the original teak base restored by means of a multi-stage core cleaning and subsequent careful sanding treatment. The subsequent multi-layered oil application, in which different oils developed and matched by us were used, creates a harmonious color scheme and a very pleasant, warm feel in addition to increased durability.
We removed scratches and imperfections from the metal parts, then sanded and polished them to a shine and gave them new screws.
The result: when you stand in front of it, you think it's new!
OUR PRICE:
Our Whoppah price includes the Whoppah gross commission of approx. 20% (16% net commission + 21% pro rata Dutch VAT = 19.36%).
TRANSPORT:
We have found that transportation by Whoppah courier is sometimes considerably (100-150%) higher than the market price of the usual removal companies and furniture couriers! If necessary, we can organize a cheaper transport by furniture removal company within Germany, to the Netherlands, to neighbouring German countries or an EU transport for you. A cheaper non-EU transport by general cargo forwarding company in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
!!! However, it is absolutely necessary to contact us before purchasing !!!
