Product description
This floor lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson is a striking example of 1960s Scandinavian lighting design. The piece is defined by its distinctive shade, constructed from thin strips of bent wood that diffuse light to create a warm, ambient glow.
The lamp features a solid wood frame with an adjustable arm, allowing the shade to be positioned as needed. The natural grain of the wood is prominent throughout the design, from the circular base to the slatted shade. The fixture is equipped with a white cord and an inline switch. The use of natural materials and the organic form are characteristic of Jakobsson's approach to lighting.
The piece remains in good condition, showing character consistent with its age. The wood retains its original finish and patina, reflecting its history and careful use over the decades.
This floor lamp is well-suited for a reading nook or beside a lounge chair in a mid-century modern or contemporary interior. Its warm light and sculptural presence make it a functional and decorative addition to a living space.
