Product description
A unique pendant lamp designed by Jaroslav Antonin Junka for the Czech manufacturer Zukov in the 1960s. The shade is made of "Brusel"-style glass, hand-decorated using a selective spray technique, giving each piece a unique character. Colorful motifs (red, blue, and yellow) embedded in the milky, crackled surface create a unique, artistic effect when the bulb is lit.
The lamp is equipped with an E27 socket; the original wiring was often replaced for safety and functionality.
Dimensions:
Total height: 65 cm
Shade diameter: 22 cm
Condition: Very good, with new wiring; ideal for vintage, retro, or mid-century modern interiors.
Designer: Jaroslav Antonin Junka (born 1908 – date of death unknown), Czech designer active in the 1960s, associated with Zukov. His name appears in designs in the "Brusel" style – a decorative modernist trend popular in Czechoslovakia at that time.
Manufacturer:
Zukov (or Žukov) is a Czech company specializing in the production of lamps, including table lamps, pendant lamps, and chandeliers. In the 1960s, it enjoyed a reputation for its original designs, often combining colored glass with chrome or metal elements. Its lights, frequently exhibited at international trade fairs (e.g., Expo 58), were considered examples of a fresh, Central European Mid-Century Modern style.
Condition: Very good, with new wiring; ideal for vintage, retro, or mid-century modern interiors.
