Product description
A highly refined and visually striking handwoven tapestry by Dutch artist Jo Meesters, created in the 2000s. The composition presents an expressive floral motif set against a rhythmic, graphic background, creating a compelling dialogue between ornament and abstraction.
Executed in wool, the work showcases Meesters’ exceptional mastery of textile techniques. The richly layered surface, combined with vibrant yet controlled color contrasts, gives the piece both depth and tactile presence. The interplay between the structured pattern and the organic forms results in a composition that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Jo Meesters is recognized for elevating textile into the realm of fine art, with works held in museum collections. This piece stands as a strong and collectible example of her oeuvre, where craftsmanship, material and artistic expression are seamlessly integrated.
A museum worthy and highly decorative statement piece, equally suited for a refined interior or a curated collection.
