Product description
Hand-carved wooden animal figure, with a distinctly rustic character. The object is a unique piece of folk art, characterized by its stylized form and the weathered, layered finish that tells a story of time and use.
The figurine is entirely handcrafted from a solid piece of wood and then painted. The original paint layers in green, white, black, and red have largely worn off over the years, creating a complex pattern of color and natural wood. This gives the object a deep texture and an authentic appearance. Its compact form makes it a subtle yet intriguing addition to any collection.
The overall condition is consistent with the age and rustic character of the piece. The heavy patina and worn paint are integral parts of its aesthetic and contribute to its charm. The wood itself is structurally intact and shows traces of the original carving. It is a testament to artisanal craftsmanship and the beauty of imperfection.
Its exact age is not entirely clear. We purchased it at the time as very old and valuable. The story that comes with it is that it's a toy, and somehow it's also nice to hold.
Who can we make happy with this beautiful art object now?
