This hand-woven Azilal rug in the dimensions 318 x 118 cm has already had quite a "life". What once started on the looms shifted to a place in the interior of the weavers and soon this beautiful carpet may be in your home. A vintage acquisition in other words.High in the Atlas Mountains, this rug was made with love and care by the women of the Azilal tribe. The traditional Azilal rugs are handmade from cotton and (colorful) wool. These materials are put together by the weavers into a unique and decorative design. Often small but fine.To protect the rug from "the ravages of time," the rugs are washed with natural soap in the traditional way. Then they are dried in the sun.The creativity of the women shines through in every detail and makes the rugs true works of art that you can also use as wall decorations.
