Style & Technique: The pitcher features a lively, striped texture effect in a bright blue or sky-blue glaze. It is decorated with a continuous band of contrasting, deep orange to brown round cabochons (drops) that lie in relief on the body of the pitcher.
Provenance: Marcy worked in the renowned French pottery region of Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, among other places. His work shows aesthetic similarities to the famous Vallauris style and the designs of artists such as Roger Capron.
