Product description
For sale: a unique, handmade design teapot from the renowned Dutch ceramic studio Feniks, part of the anthroposophical community Scorlewald in Schoorl. This teapot is a beautiful example of Dutch studio ceramics. The object is entirely hand-built using the so-called slab pottery technique. This gives the teapot its powerful, modernist and cubist basic shape, which forms an amazing contrast with the organic shapes of the spout and handle. The teapot is finished with a vibrant and intense turquoise/sky blue glaze that shows subtle nuances and texture. On the underside, the authentic, hand-pressed studio stamp "scorlewald" is clearly visible. A special and soulful object that can be used functionally and also forms a beautiful minimalist design piece in the interior. Specifications: • Origin: Atelier Feniks, Schoorl (Made by Scorlewald) • Technique: Handmade slab pottery • Style: Modernist / Mid-Century Modern / Brutalist • Mark: Original studio stamp on the underside Condition: In good condition. The teapot has no chips or cracks on the visible side. On the underside, there are some small, non-disruptive glaze imperfections that are inherent to the authentic, artisanal firing process and the application of the stamp. This gives the object its unique character.
