A highly unusual handcrafted jewelry box from the 1980s, conceived almost as a small sculptural artwork. The arched ceramic body features a beautiful crackled glaze, giving the surface a richly textured and expressive character.
The box incorporates two individually handmade glass drawers, composed from colorful pieces of glass and finished with small bronze details. Sculptural bronze feet, a whimsical figure on top and miniature decorative elements further emphasize the handcrafted nature of the piece. The combination of crackled ceramic, handmade glass and bronze shows an exceptional attention to detail, making this as much a unique decorative sculpture as a functional jewelry box.
Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. Crack to the rear. The craquelé is characteristic of the glazed ceramic finish.
