About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This console table exemplifies early 21st-century studio craftsmanship, executed in solid oak and characterized by a meticulously hand-carved surface. The rhythmic chisel work introduces a nuanced texture across the planes of the piece, allowing light and shadow to animate its otherwise restrained, architectural form. Conceived as a console rather than a dining table, it is not intended for seating and functions purely as a sculptural and utilitarian surface.
The maker remains unidentified; however, the work aligns closely with contemporary studio furniture practices rooted in material integrity and manual process. Its suggests affinities with modern craft traditions and the wabi-sabi ethos, where subtle irregularity and handwork are integral to the object’s identity.
