Product description
A vintage floor light by the Dutch manufacturer Hala Zeist, dating from the 1970s. This specific piece is model 615, also known as 'The Basket', a characteristic design from the Space Age era.
The lamp is made with a white lacquered metal structure, consisting of a round, weighted base and a slender, height-adjustable rod. The spherical shade, made of white opal glass, rests in a metal ring and diffuses a soft, gentle light. This model is a good example of the functional and minimalist design for which Hala was known during that period.
In good, vintage condition, the lamp shows character and a patina consistent with its age. The original structure and finish have been preserved, emphasizing the authenticity of the object. The lamp is functional and the adjustment mechanisms work properly.
This floor light is an excellent addition to an interior with a preference for Mid-Century Modern, Space Age or Dutch Design and adds an authentic piece of Dutch design history to the space.
